What we do
What We Do
At A.G.H.A., our work goes far beyond simply taking dogs off the streets. We provide a comprehensive, compassionate lifeline for stray, abused, and neglected dogs, ensuring they receive the exact care they need to heal and thrive.
Our daily operations focus on four essential pillars of canine welfare:
1. Emergency Rescue & Medical Care
We step in when vulnerable dogs need us the most. Many of our rescues arrive with severe injuries, chronic illnesses, or special medical needs resulting from abuse or neglect. We provide immediate veterinary intervention, life-saving treatments, vaccinations, and intensive care to alleviate their suffering.
2. The Nursery & Safe Shelter
Our shelter is designed to be a true sanctuary. We have a dedicated, quiet Nursery specifically for pregnant mothers and fragile puppies to ensure they are born and raised in a healthy environment. Every dog under our roof receives daily nutritious meals, a clean living space, and a safe haven away from the dangers of the streets.
3. Rehabilitation & Socialization
Healing physical wounds is only the first step. Many rescued dogs arrive traumatized and fearful. Our team works patiently with every dog, providing gentle behavioral rehabilitation, human interaction, and positive socialization to help them rebuild their trust in people and prepare them for family life.
4. Responsible Adoption & Rehoming
Our ultimate goal is to give every rescued dog a beautiful second chance. We carefully review all adoption applications to ensure that our rescues—especially our special needs dogs—are matched with committed, loving, and permanent families where they will be cherished forever.
